Graduate Cover Supervisor | Primary School | Brentwood, Essex
A rare opportunity to gain vital school experience has arisen at an exciting primary school in Brentwood. This unique Graduate Cover Supervisor role will well equip the appointed individual with strong classroom skills prior to undertaking a PGCE or School Direct placement, as such this role would be ideally suited to a motivated graduate looking to become a teacher in the future.

***Vibrant, friendly primary based in Brentwood
***GBP65-GBP80 per day, paid weekly - dependent on experience
***Contracted full-time position for 1 academic year initially (term time only)
***Training and support offered throughout by the dedicated SENCo
To be considered for this Graduate Cover Supervisor post you must be an energetic graduate who has achieved a 2:2 or above in your degree and already be able to demonstrate some classroom experience, some previous SEN exposure would also be beneficial but is not essential.
The school are keen to meet graduates who have the ability to remain calm in difficult circumstances and the resilience to deal with challenging situations quickly and appropriately. The school are hoping to appoint a Graduate Cover Supervisor who is able to show a real passion for education and the ability to forge relationships quickly.
This Graduate Cover Supervisor position involves joining the school in a general and diverse role, ideal for gaining broad experience. Largely you will cover lessons, across all Phases, as the Class Teachers take PPA time. The position of a Graduate Cover Supervisor offers a great introduction into teaching and give you the perfect opportunity to discover fun and inspiring teaching methods.
On the occasions that covers support is not required you will have the opportunity to observe teachers who have been in the profession for a long time whilst working in a support role. Working school-wide in a behavioural support capacity, supporting pupils 1:1 and in class, you will also undertake lunchtime supervision for key pupils. You will be working alongside an experienced SENCO who is happy to enroll you onto all appropriate CPD, adding to your growing portfolio prior to your teacher training.
