Role: Assistant Marketing & Business Development Manager
Location: Edinburgh

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Marketing & Business Development Manager to join the Business Development and Marketing team of a successful law firm based in Edinburgh.
The successful applicant will support the firm with planning and executing its marketing strategy and identifying opportunities to maximise generation of fees and accelerate growth. The role includes supervising the marketing team and assisting with the management of their workload.
The main duties & responsibilities will include:
* Assist in establishing team objectives and plans, including budgetary management and operational running of marketing & BD activities.
* Planning and development of editorial and social media content for use across a variety of communication channels (internal and external), including drafting copy and design.
* Undertake research and conduct analysis on client, targets, markets, competitors and marketing trends in order to identify existing clients and targets for new business opportunities.
* Understand the commercial imperative of Client Relationship Management, client care, account planning and knowledge management.
* Manage key suppliers and associated contracts and maintain professional, internal and external relationships.
* Ensure coordination and consistency of the firm's brand
* Prepare and coordinate ITT responses, pitches/proposals, presentations and legal directory submissions
* Support key personnel in preparing for BD presentations and assist with research and follow up on outcomes and debrief as required.
* Implement internal and external communications through PR activity, website, publications, events, direct marketing and commissioning marketing services as and when required
* Assist with developing, implementing and monitoring systems and procedures as necessary to promote the smooth running of the marketing team
The role requires a highly motivated, pro-active and confident team player with the ability to prioritise a high volume workload to an exceptional standard. The successful applicant will be a creative thinker with first class communication skills and the ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships.
You will have at least 3-5 years' experience (professional services experience is highly desirable) and will hold a relevant business or marketing qualification. Proven track record of supervising/managing team would be advantageous. This role would suit a Senior Executive looking to take the next step in their career.
