Technician -Carpentry /Wood Machine Technician/ Wood Machinist

Job Title: Technician - Carpentry (Wood machining)

Location: Redhill, Surrey

Salary: £18,000 - £20,000 circa (Subject to skills and experience)

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Based in their Construction Department this exciting post involves:

• Supporting students in their learning of practical skills in the Carpentry workshops
• Supervising and maintaining workshops ensuring adherence to Health and Safety regulations, along with cleaning and maintenance of equipment
• Ordering stock, maintaining a stock of consumables and preparing materials for student activities

This post would suit an individual who has achieved their own Carpentry qualifications, ideally up to Level 3, or who has a Carpentry background themselves and understands the basic principles. Candidates should ideally have the specialism of Wood Machining. You should also be enthusiastic, self-motivated with excellent communication skills, and with a committed approach to your work you will maintain a high quality learning environment for our learners.
