Are you looking for a support worker job based in HD1, Huddersfield? We are currently recruiting for support workers to work at one of my clients residential services who support adults with learning disabilities.
The Organisation
You will be working for a reputable organisation to join one of their services in Leeds who offer residential support to adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, complex needs and mental health. They support over 2000 people, work in over 300 locations and have over 3500 staff members.
The Role
This job is to work as a support worker in a supported living service which has 3 service users but has the capacity for 5. The ideal candidate will ensure the happiness and comfort of these individuals which can be managed in a variety of ways. This could be anything from from helping them within their own living space to assisting them in accessing the community. You will celebrate birthdays, be creative, be playful and overall provide the best possible care you can.
Service is intensive support so candidates with experience in complex physical needs and LD would be great!
The Ideal Candidate
You will have some social care experience or qualification to be considered for this role. We are looking for candidates with a real passion for care and helping others. For this job it is essential you are fully flexible and you can commit to working a variety of shifts including some weekend work.
There is two positions available.
One contract is a waking nights part time which will be 2 x 11 hour shifts (9pm while 8am) which is over 8 days. (2 days on, 6 days off) - Night staff member will need to be midazolam trained.
The other contract would be a full time position on days (2x12 hour shifts, 9am - 9pm, 1 x 8 hour shift 7am - 3pm and 1x6 hours 2pm - 8pm) 38 hours in total on which you will have 3 days off in a week and work alternate weekends!
Salary and Benefits
The pay rate for this role is starting at £7 per hour, No sleep ins required at present.
