We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and technically capable individual to join the Network & Telecoms section of the Computing and Library Services Core IT Infrastructure team. 

With a strong background in traditional telephony cabling and systems and experience of delivering 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd line support, you will also be able to demonstrate significant knowledge and experience of configuring, maintaining and supporting a Unify (Siemens) Hi-Path 4000 TDM/IP PBX (or similar) as well as associated systems/applications for call logging and contact centre where service availability expectations are demanding and often pressurized. 

Working with colleagues, you will be maintaining, supporting and contributing to the development of on premise and cloud based voice systems and services.  You will need to enjoy using your analytical skills to pre-empt issues and resolve problems.  All aspects of your work must demonstrate rigour, quality and attention to detail.

You will need to be flexible, able to work independently or as part of a team and, as required, lead project teams.  You should have the capability to adapt to new technologies easily and have the experience and creativity to develop these into solutions that contribute to continual service improvement. 

You must be able to communicate well with a variety of stakeholders in differing contexts and be able to articulate technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.

Candidates who can demonstrate a strong mix of technical expertise with excellent customer awareness and service orientation will have a distinct advantage.
