Want to work for an organisation that recognises the positive contributions of its staff?

We have fantastic opportunities for committed and passionate Extracare Coordinator to join our team at our brand new Extra Care Schemes in Bridgend County.

Our Services in Maesteg & Tondu are state of the art  facilities and are due to open in the autumn of 2018.

Our extra care models allows frail older people to live independently in their own self-contained apartment, with access to a home care service permanently based on site. Each scheme will also contain a residential care unit operated by the local authority, which we will have a duty to service and maintain.

The schemes consist of private apartments, hairdressing salon and communal space for social ativities, spa room and restaurant facilities.

An exciting opportunity is available for a highly motivated Service Coordinator to assist in the delivery of a safe, effective and high-quality service across our two new Extracare schemes in Maesteg and Tondu.

As the Service Coordinator, you will assist the Service Manager in ensuring that our tenants receive a seamless housing management service across both of our sites. You will be responsible for the coordination, collation and delivery of administrative tasks and will provide assistance to tenants, families, onsite care partners and visitors. You will prepare rotas, organise day-to-day maintenance, arrange meetings and oversee electronic database and building security systems.

You will act as a representative for older people and create communities where tenants maximise their independence whilst receiving the appropriate care and support for their needs. You will also work in partnership with Bridgend County Borough Council to deliver the local authority-run residential care service at each site.

The successful candidate must have strong administrative, organisational and problem solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with staff, customers, families, suppliers and other key stakeholders.

You must have experience of working with older people within a Housing or Care environment (or equivalent relevant experience) and ideally some experience of welfare benefits.

Ability to drive and access to a car for work purposes is essential.

A DBS check is required for this role (funded by Linc-Cymru).

This role is predominantly 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, however some weekend or evening working may be required in exchange for time off in lieu. This can be discussed at interview.

The closing date for applications is Sunday, 1st July at 23:59.
