RAISING ACHIEVEMENT ASSISTANT
To support SEN students with a range of needs, including students with autism and social communication difficulties, cognitive difficulties and students with literacy and numeracy difficulties - 36.5 HOURS PER WEEK DURING TERM TIME ONLY - GRADE 3 £19,430- £24,964 per annum (PRO RATA) Actual Salary £16,986 -£21,824 per annum.

We are seeking to appoint Raising Achievement Assistants who are highly motivated and innovative in their work with young people who have additional needs.
Swanshurst is an ‘Outstanding School’ for girls with 1760 students on roll aged 11-19 years. We offer excellent support and CPD for staff at all stages of their career.
Ofsted (2017) found pupils at Swanshurst to be “happy, well cared for and that they secure excellent academic and personal outcomes” they described the girls as “polite, respectful and courteous”. Needless to say we are incredibly proud of them and of all our staff who contribute to the “purposeful learning culture within the school that characterises the work of staff and pupils”
You will be working in a vibrant team and will bring with you particular experience, skills or interests in working with students who may have the following barriers to learning:
- Visual/ hearing impairment or other physical difficulties.
- Specific learning difficulties, including dyslexia and dyscalculia.
- Autism, communication and anxiety barriers.
- EAL.
- Literacy and numeracy.
- General cognition and learning.
