An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HR Advisor to join our Human Resources (HR) team within the Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB).

The LMB is an internationally recognised centre of excellence in biomedical research, with research interests encompassing fundamental basic science and translational initiatives aimed at enhancing human health. The MRC is part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI).

You will provide a high quality HR advice and support on a variety of generalist areas including recruitment, immigration, performance and absence management.  You will engage with Scientific staff, Managers, Administrators and employees ensuring a professional and proactive approach. 

Ideally, you will have experience in the Public Sector or Academia, can demonstrate the ability to build effective relationships, will have exceptional communication skills and the ability to adapt.  You will be responsive to the needs of the lab whilst being sensitive to the relevant policy/legislation and good practice.

It is essential that you hold CIPD Level 5 or equivalent and have recent experience of working in an HR environment.  You will have strong problem solving, organisation and prioritisation skills, as well as a good team focus.

This position would ideally suit an experienced HR Assistant/Administrator looking to make the next step in their career or a HR Officer/Advisor looking to gain more experience in a large multicultural environment.
