Your Responsibilities:
Are you a supply chain & logistics professional looking to broaden your knowledge and understand more about transport?

Our Pharmaceutical Supply Chain team are looking for a Transport Planning Manager to manage multi-market warehouses which supply 27 markets around Europe.

You will be responsible for managing all daily interfaces with our logistics provider and physical supply from manufacture through to delivery to the customer end point. This includes day-to-day problem solving, delivering exceptional customer service and using your commercial mind-set to manage budgets whilst working alongside supply.

This is not a desk job. It is an opportunity for you to broaden your view of the end-to-end (E2E) supply chain, understand more about transport, educate yourself about the market and provide ideas to continuously improve our transport function.

Your Accountabilities in this role
• Ensuring that the rollout of Europe Pharma Logistics strategy & operations are aligned with Global Logistics strategy and comply with the Global Supply Chain Board
• Managing service levels with 3rd Party Distribution Partners, Internal & 3rd Party Manufacturing sites and Global Logistics
• Managing stock in the GSK supply chain to value of GBP200m
• The supply of 6,000 Stock Keeping Units (SKU) across 4 Multi-Market Warehouses (MMW) and onwards supply chain within 3rd Party Logistics (3PL), Logistics Service Providers (LSP) and Wholesalers
• Participate in the negotiations and performance management of service contracts with 3PLs and LSPs
• Achieving budget at minimum targeted level
• Delivery against key metrics including: OTIF (On Time in Full)
• Communication and implementation of GSK strategic goals and change management

Why You?Basic qualifications:
• Experience in Supply Chain Logistics including, transportation management, supply chain management and 3rd party logistics provider (3PL) transportation management
• Evidence of developing cost-saving initiatives
• In depth understanding of warehousing & distribution concepts
• Previous experience of working with Warehouse Management Systems

Preferred qualifications:
• Bachelors degree or equivalent of Transport and Supply Chain Management
• Continuous Improvement mindset
• Strong relationship building and influencing skills
