Salary : £19,500 - £21,000

Hours : 37.5 hours / week (part-time considered)

There is an opportunity to join an established cable harness assembly company based in Stoke on Trent as a Wiring Operator Trainer.

The Candidate should have a knowledge of all manufacturing processes required in the assembly of cable harnesses, low volume PCA and electromechanical assembly and ideally possess a good understanding of the standards required within the industry. This position would be ideally suited to someone who has worked in this industry previously and is looking to share their existing knowledge as well as develop their own skills in a teaching capacity. Some previous experience of training operators would be an advantage. This is a new role and we would be looking for an individual who would be willing to develop the role further to enhance the company’s skill/knowledge base and develop the future training strategy.

Ideally applicants should have the following skills and competencies.

• Good interpersonal skills
• Able to prepare teaching plans and teaching aids
• Ability to teach a variety of manufacturing processes
• Flexibility to work with a variety of customers standards
• Computer literate, with experience of Microsoft office.
• Knowledge of ISO9001:2008 or AS9100 Quality Management Systems
• Familiar with IPC standards (IPC610/620 & JSTD)
• Be able to work on own initiative
