Our client is a state of the art manufacturer in the security industry, providing high-tech equipment to major organisations and government facilities throughout the world.
Due to an increase in business and internal promotion a role has arisen for a Quality Engineer.
Main aim of the role
To ensure the effectiveness and development of the Quality Management System.
To provide the Quality lead in New Product Introduction and engineering development of existing products.
To design and carry out validation and acceptance testing of products.
The role will include resolution of customer complaints and major issues through root cause analysis, corrective and preventative actions.
Reporting of KPI's on internal quality measures which will include customer complaints, commissioning and service trending for reliability and quality issues.
Requirements:
• 3-5 years experience as a Quality Engineer or Quality Manager in an Engineering Environment (preferably automotive or aerospace)
•Experience with New Product Introduction responsibilities desirable.
•Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100 and ISO14001 standards also desirable
•Trained Auditor to ISO9000
•Higher National Diploma or Degree in Engineering/Science discipline.
•Proficient at interpreting Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Drawings.
•Clean Driving Licence.
•Lean and or Six Sigma experience would be an advantage
