The governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated person to work with our current support team to develop outdoor learning. The person appointed should have knowledge of gardening / horticulture work and ideally experience of working with young people. The post is to provide alternative courses for small groups of children who find traditional classroom based learning challenging. The post holder will work as part of a team to deliver accredited and non-accredited courses and activities for students in our Pine Cone horticulture unit.

We were inspected in March 2013 and were graded as 'outstanding' in every category. We moved in to purpose built 'State of the Art' buildings in April 2013. On 1st May 2017 we joined ACET (Aston Community Education Trust) which further strengthens our capacity to improve opportunities for all our students and staff. Due to this post having access to children and/or vulnerable adults, candidates will be required to undertake a Criminal Records Check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.

This Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and
young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We are also
an equal opportunities Employer and we are committed to Professional Learning for all of
our staff.
