Do you want to support a College which provides young people and adults with the technical and personal skills they need to succeed?

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your training skills and qualifications as you take charge of a cohort of candidates learning their trade in Site Carpentry, Bench Carpentry and Wood Machining. We need you to undertake professional and timely assessments of candidates in the workplace. Working flexibly including evenings and weekends, you will set short, medium, and long-term learning targets and undertake regular reviews of candidate’s progress and skills development.

Developing relationships with companies to secure future training opportunities and good health and safety within the workplace will also fall within your remit. You’ll combine an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Site Carpentry, Bench Carpentry and Wood Machining with significant industry and assessor experience and ideally a teaching qualification.

A full driving licence and access to a vehicle will also be essential.

Based in Stoke on Trent with easy transport links to the North West, West Midlands and East Midlands, Stoke on Trent College is the largest provider of further education in Stoke and North Staffordshire, with around 10,000 students each year on full-time and part-time study programmes, apprenticeships, professional qualifications and university-level courses.
