Our client is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to work on a full time and permanent basis in the Blackwood area.

Role Purpose
Primarily accountable for the day to day management of output and for ensuring effective and efficient performance of team members within the required parameters of Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Cost.

Key responsibilities:
•Overall Responsibility for the running of the Cell
•Planning working for the Cell

Managing hours worked
•Reporting cell performance
•Ensuring training needs are identified
•Liaising with other Team Leaders (internal customers/suppliers)
•Assist in pay rate discussions as required
•Communicate Company information to team members
•Highlight inadequate or unclear manufacturing/engineering information
•Ensure quality standards and factory housekeeping is of the highest standard
•Ensure defective work is not passed from the Cell except where identified and agreed

Team and individual management of staff in accordance with HSS policy and procedure;
•First line discipline of timekeeping/attendance
•Ordering materials as required
•Quality of workmanship
•Ensuring a safe working environment within the health and safety guidelines
•Team members performance appraisals
•Working procedures within their area
•Ensuring correct completion and sign off of test reports
•Ensuring all equipment is within calibration
