It is a not-for-profit organisation, established in April 2007 but with a pedigree stretching back over 40 years. Its vision is to ensure that the UK Continental Shelf becomes the most attractive mature oil and gas province in the world with which to do business. Its mission is to promote and serve members' interests as the voice of the UK's oil and gas industry.

They currently seek a corporate communications professional to join a busy Stakeholder and Communications team as a Communications Adviser.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Communications Manager, you will work collaboratively across the organisation and its subsidiaries to provide exceptional media and public relations expertise.

The successful candidate will develop and deliver effective media and PR campaigns (using traditional, social and digital platforms) on issues relevant to the Industry. You will also help promote the association's events and publications.

The Candidate:

Creative, versatile written and oral communications skills, including speech writing, creating advanced presentations and digital content, are essential. Candidates should have strong news sense and be a good team player with an ability to manage relationships and the drive to work across teams to deliver targeted communications to multiple audiences.

This is an exciting role in a high-profile organisation at the heart of one of the country's most important industrial sectors. An understanding of energy issues in general and the oil and gas industry in particular is desirable but not essential, together with a nose for the newsworthy story. You must be able to demonstrate a keen interest in the industry, as well as the capacity to cope under pressure.
