Support Worker - Intensive Support Services

ROLE: COMMUNITY SUPPORT WORKERS / CARE WORKER (INTENSIVE SUPPORT WORKER - DOMICILIARY CARE)

SALARY: £8.18 PER HOUR (QUALIFIED)

Based within Fleetwood, Lancashire, this provider has an incredible reputation of care and trust within the industry and specifically amongst the people the support workers and care workers work alongside and assist to live as independently as possible - so anything you might do in your day to day living, you’d be working to help someone else do those things too.

You will be working specifically with adults and young adults with extreme challenging behaviour; whilst you’d be undertaking the role of support worker, this particular area of care comes with slightly more expectation due to the complex needs of the individual, including recognising behavioural triggers and working with the service user to calm the situation down.

This role takes someone with a mature, level head and solid life skills. You have to have the confidence to be a decision-maker, use your initiative and instinct and always have the best interests of the individual you’re supporting in mind. These young adults and adults require 24 hour care and continuity of care is essential so you’d need to be someone who can demonstrate commitment to your role as a support worker.
