Becoming a Senior Commercial Manager with Capita Resourcing:

As the Senior Commercial Manager you will be providing commercial and legal support for selected resourcing business units within the division. The Senior Commercial Manager will contribute both at a strategic level within the business units and at a day to day operational level, drafting contract variations, resolving disputes with clients and suppliers and providing general legal and commercial advice to all internal stakeholders. The Senior Commercial Manager will operate across a broad range of diverse business units with differing business objectives, internal structures and commercial requirements.

What you will do:

• Being the primary point of contact for all legal and commercial matters in Resourcing.

• Owning the commercial reporting cycle ensuring that all relevant reports and contractual data is submitted on time and is complete.

• Providing full commercial and legal support to all project work within the division, including but not limited to, implementing new legislation, contract implementation and exit, mergers, acquisitions and divestments and intercompany dealings.

• Advising on data protection considerations for suppliers, clients and project activity (particularly in light of GDPR).

• Reviewing contract terms and conditions relevant to new business sales, renewals, extensions, change notices and subcontractor engagements

• Providing commentary, contract mark-up or drafting in order to support Capita engagement with the customer/supplier (as appropriate)

• Taking the lead in commercial and contractual negotiations with customers or suppliers where appropriate

Your experience will include:

• Degree calibre or commensurate experience, Law degree preferred (LLB/LLM or equivalent)
• A strong understanding of commercial contract law
• Experience of the recruitment sector (and associated legislation) is essential
• Experience in any professional services or BPO environment is essential
• Previous experience in drafting, reviewing and marking-up service contracts; ideally for outsourcing or managed services
• Excellent communications skills with the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders both internally and externally including good negotiation skills
• A good understanding of risk management
• Experience of providing full scope commercial and legal advice to businesses
