You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and will receive a competitive salary of £19,215 - £36,748 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

The Lecturer Engineering Role:

As our Lecturer Engineering, you will provide excellent learning opportunities and add value through enrichment activities that inspire and promote learner engagement and achievement through a range of programmes on our premises or as requested by the employer. To lead on the recruitment, retention and achievement of students and contribute towards the pastoral care of students.

Key responsibilities of the Lecturer Engineering:

- Managing Tasks: Planning/Implementing and Controlling/Reviewing

- Managing People: Supervising/Directing

- Working with information: Checking

- Communicating: Representing/Selling (products or services)

- Administering: Clerical/Administration function

- Physical Activities: Using Machinery / Equipment / Vehicles

- Develop the curriculum plan for the School or Faculty.

- Fully participate in College’s Performance Management Scheme.

- Undertake such other duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably required within the grade and level of the post.

Skills & Experience required by our Lecturer Engineering:

Essential

- Teaching Qualification i.e. DTLLS, Cert Ed., or PGCE or be willing to work towards.

- Hold English and Maths GCSE Grade C qualification/hold Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent.

- An appropriate level of qualification in the subject areas

- Suitable experience and/or the capacity to design and deliver teaching and learning or training

- Delivery of embedding English & Maths skills, equality & diversity alongside the main programme

- Experience, subject specialism and relevant qualifications  in the subject/vocational area

- Experience of delivering to Awarding Body standards including marking and assessment work

Desirable

- Relevant qualification the level of above the level that is being taught

- Experience across different Awarding Bodies, setting up new programmes, developing new assessment materials

- Assessor and/or IV qualified    

- Ability to move between sites in a timely manner

- Able to obtain a clean DBS approval

- Media production skills in camera work and editing (Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop)
