Westcountry Schools Trust is seeking to recruit a hard-working and enthusiastic individual to manage our new Nursery at Sherford Vale at the very beginning of our exciting journey.

You should be a cheerful and motivated individual who:

Is able to work effectively as part of a growing school team and provide excellent care and learning opportunities for our youngest children;

  • Has the ability to multi-task and a flexible approach to the wide range of work involved, changing priorities and unpredictable demands;
  • Is an experienced, exceptional practitioner with a full and relevant level 3 qualification in childcare, level 2 qualifications in English and maths (including functional skills), 2 years’ work experience with children in a nursery setting and experience of supervising or managing staff;
  • Level 3 Safeguarding trained and the ability to work within the procedures of the local Safeguarding Children’s Boards;
  • Has a friendly approach, is helpful and proactive and an excellent organiser.

Sherford Vale is a growing school. It is anticipated that the number of children attending the Nursery will grow rapidly over a short period of time and the role and salary will be reviewed as the growth and line management responsibilities increase.
