Salary: Grade D (point 19 – 23, £19,446 – £21,693 pro rata). 35 hours per week over 39 weeks.

If you are committed to identifying and nurturing the talents of others we would like to hear from you. As a Specialist Teaching Assistant at Hyde Park Junior School you will have range of duties including:

  • Working in class offering targeted support for pupils.
  • Running intervention groups.
  • Supporting pupils to keep up with their peers by working with them on misconceptions, or practise and reinforcement.
  • Supporting pupils in making positive behaviour choices, including at playtimes.
  • Acting as a cover supervisor.

Some experience working with young people - in the classroom, teaching overseas, tutoring, youth work and or other young people related work is essential. The ideal applicant will have a degree, or an NVQ3 or equivalent.  

Applicants must have Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths GCSE
