We are recruiting for outstanding Communications Assistants for the Post Office based in Chesterfield centre. This is a 3 month rolling contract with a view to extend.
This is a full time contract (35 hours) and ideal candidates will be working shift patterns between Monday and Saturday from 8-6pm. The pay rate starts from £7 and rises to £9 after 12 weeks. Friendly team, subsidised canteen and gym on site included!
To support branches in setting up their Smart ID's and to ensure they complete any compliance tests which will minimise non-conformance and deliver excellent service to our customers.
This role is largely telephone based and will include producing and communicating performance to branches, resolving issues and making pro-active telephone interventions to support branch improvement and implement the corrective action process where necessary.
- Support branches to achieve the required standards, predominantly by contact with the branch over the phone.
- Monitoring performance of branches and response to support calls and, where required, initiating remedial business processes to address continued failure to meet the required standards
- Advising branches of the consequences (both contractual and financial) of continued failure to meet required standards
- Administrative tasks include sending out and collating letters and operational materials to branches
- Responding to ad-hoc queries that are received via inbound calls or into the team inboxes, including issues raised by HR and branches
- Provide input into the review of documents and communications where required
Knowledge required
1. Good knowledge of the conformance and sales standards that branches are expected to adhere to.
2. Good knowledge of the business strategy and wider commercial environment.
3. Knowledge of the main MS office products (Word, Outlook, Excel and Access) and SharePoint would be beneficial
Experience required
1. Experience of providing excellent customer service, especially over the telephone, would be an advantage
2. Past experience of providing coaching, mentoring or training to internal or externals teams
Skills required
1. Solid written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distil complex data into key messages and facts in conversation with the branches
2. Organised approach to work with the ability to juggle competing priorities
3. Strong coaching and influencing skills, with a good grasp of when to switch between supportive and assertive tone.
4. Strong team player with ability to work with teams from different directorates in a flexible and adaptable way.
5. Evidence of working on your own initiative and adopting a pro-active approach
6. Ability to recognise underlying causes to issues and make recommendations on how these could be remedied
