Catering Support Manager
Location: National Role - ideally based in the Home Counties
Salary: £35,000

Our client acts as the management agent for a retirement living development company. They are passionate about what they do, they work together with their teams and homeowners to help customers achieve retirement living to the full.
About the role
Reporting into the Catering Category Manager this role will assist in managing and maintaining agreed catering services standards across all developments.
Working closely in liaison with the Area Managers the Catering Support Manager will identify areas for improvement; developing extensive and measurable plans to improve food quality, presentation and service delivered.
You will be required to attend Homeowner meetings in existing developments to update on audit results, improvements made, listen to and address any feedback or concerns raised. This role will strive to ensure the relationships between the catering provider and our client are maintained to the highest standards.
With the exciting growth, our client is opening new developments and you will support the setup of the catering operation. You will be required to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation, ranging from construction and sales teams to external contractors engaged to deliver a service to meet business critical timescales.
To accommodate business growth and to ensure that they are engaging appropriate caterers at all times, you will play a key role in supporting the Catering Director in tender processes. You will provide reports and feedback to ensure that the Catering department is sufficiently equipped to present to Homeowners and answer any queries raised.
What do you need?
Experience within a healthcare catering environment with contract catering processes such as; tender processes, contract management, multi-site engagement and experience of the logistics within a commercial catering kitchen.
- Food Hygiene Level 3 or above
- Health & Safety Level 3 or above
- Excellent IT skills (incl. Excel & Databases)
- Diploma Level 3 in Catering Management (desirable)

Hours of work
37 hours per week, 09:00 – 17:30 Monday to Thursday, 09:00 – 17:00 on Friday.
