Cleaning Manager

Salary: GBP35,000 per annum

Our Client have an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced Cleaning Manager, managing a large team of a busy shopping centre. This is a fantastic opportunity with real scope for career development in our client's ever growing portfolio. The ideal candidate will have extensive cleaning management of a large cleaning team, preferably in the retail environment.

Ideal Cleaning Manager Candidate

  • Previous Cleaning Management of a large cleaning team
  • Excellent people management skills

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Driving the service excellence standard throughout the team
  • Continually monitoring and evaluating the performance of the team
  • Identifying training needs and implementing action or performance plans to ensure colleagues meet their goals in line with both personal and business objectives
  • Constantly looking for innovative ideas to add value and to make the service delivery more effective
  • Building and maintaining a professional relationship with all stakeholders and partners.
  • Ensure staffing levels are kept in line with the contractual agreement, recruiting as required
  • Maintaining effective and accurate communication
  • Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with the local partners and applicable local agencies.
  • Ensure that our client's and the centre's Health and Safety Policy is implemented, maintained and regularly reviewed in line with the needs of the business and any legislative change
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and regularly inspected
  • Provide professional and technical coaching to team members
  • The ordering of stock and uniform for the site within budgetary and contractual constraints
  • Maintain management information for the Business Manager in relation to KPIs/SLA's
  • Control and maintenance of detailed information including rotas, hours, budgets, training, absenteeism
  • Handle the employee 'life cycle' including recruitment, inductions, probation, performance management, training and development

Further Details for the cleaning manager role:

  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
  • Shift Pattern: 5 days per week including weekends
  • HSF Medical Scheme
