Working within our residents' homes within our retirement villages, we
tailor care packages to meet their individual needs. This can range from
15 minutes per week to more frequent daily help. Whatever the needs of
the resident, our priority is to ensure they maintain control, choice and
dignity at all times.
Are you looking for a new challenge?
At St Monica Trust, our Care and Support Workers are highly valued by our
residents. They help with the day to practical things like getting in and
out of bed, dressing, bathing and hygiene. This is incredibly important
for our residents, who may not be able to do as much as they used to.
Just as importantly though, our Care and Support Workers provide company,
they share stories, advise on what to eat, get to know residents' friends
and families - all of the things that contribute to a person's well-being
and quality of life.
And that's what our Care and Support Workers tell us is the most
rewarding part of their role - getting to know our residents.
This is initially a 6 month fixed term contract to cover maternity, this
may be extended.
Part-time 32.5 hours per week working early shift 07:45 - 14:15 / late
shift 15:00 - 21:30 to include alternate weekend working
What we're looking for:
Naturally you'll be a people's person, able to strike up conversation and
have a positive and professional communication style. Dignity, respect,
honesty, care and trust are our values at St Monica Trust - and you'll be
able to demonstrate your commitment to them.
It's not essential to have gained experience within a care environment
but you will be able to undertake the practical duties associated with
personal care. You'll be able to assess individuals' needs, produce
written reports and follow instructions. We maintain high standards of
care while maintaining the individuals' independence at all times - and
involve our residents in their care planning. You'll be a strong team
worker, able to 'muck in' and help out when needed. You'll also have a
strong track record of time management and flexibility.
You can find more details about the role and the person we are looking
for, through the role profile, which is available on our website.
If this sounds like the role for you, we look forward to hearing from
you!
