Reporting to the Pick Pack Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
+ Supporting the Pick Pack Shift Supervisor and covering for holidays, Absence
+ Day-to-day shift supervision of the Picking and Packing operations
+ Controlling the waving/ release of orders for picking on a timely basis to achieve cut-offs
+ Ensuring that orders are picked in correct batch, use by date sequence - liaising with Stock Controller regarding any stock discrepancies
+ Some Physical Picking and Packing activity required to support shift
+ Strong focus on achieving Productivity levels and daily order clearance targets
+ Helping to training and motivate staff to maintain consistent high standards on picking and packing
+ Maintaining 5S layout of packing areas and ensuring process is followed
+ Any necessary liaison with carriers/ hauliers to ensure timely collection of Despatches
+ Liaison with the Customer Services Team to manage returns and reships
+ Setting clear expectations and monitoring quality
+ Co-ordinate labour resource to meet expected workloads
+ Site responsibility for opening and undertaking shift safety, security checks
+ Ensuring that at all times general housekeeping is kept at the highest standard e.g. clean and tidy floors
+ Ensuring H&S regulations and good manual handling practice is adhered to and standards are kept high at all times in terms of dress code and practice
+ Any other warehouse tasks as requested by Management
What we are looking for in the ideal candidate
+ Proven supervisory experience in a warehouse environment
+ Excellent written and spoken communication skills
+ Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure
+ Strong Target and Quality focus
+ The ability to encourage and motivate people
+ Organisational skills and the ability to plan ahead and manage your time
+ Ability to work alone with minimal supervision and use sound judgment
+ Good knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook
You may have worked in the following capacities:
Assistant Dispatch Supervisor, Packing Supervisor, Distribution Warehouse Supervisor, Order Fulfilment Team Leader.
