Equinox Ealing provides supported housing and out of hours support for people with drug or alcohol dependence and/or mental ill health. It operates across four sites in Ealing including Churchfield Road

Churchfield Road is a 12 bed Recovery Focussed Hostel located in West Ealing. The hostel caters for ten men and two women with medium support needs; including substance misuse and homelessness. The project is an active and exciting environment and an emphasis on our work bringing
about meaningful change and supporting our clients to achieve their recovery goals.

We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated enthusiastic and creative person to join our friendly team. Someone with really strong communication skills and understanding of the issues that affect vulnerable clients. You would be joining our friendly team dedicated to providing clients with a safe environment in which to build their confidence, promote opportunities for positive change and support their recovery journey.

You will be working in a shift based role that includes weekends and bank holidays. The shifts are 8am to 8:30pm - three days per week.

Main responsibilities of the role
•Implement the service and organisations policies and procedures in order to deliver a high quality service using a recovery focused approach
•Provide key work, risk assessment and support planning for service users as required to help successful recovery focused achievement of their personal goals, improve their health and wellbeing and quality of life.
•To develop and maintain positive and supportive relationships with service users which recognise and respond to individual needs while at the same same maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
•Encourage service users to establish social networks, engage with services and undertake activities to assist them to develop positive coping mechanisms and to socially integrate.
•Work with service users to support their recovery, health and wellbeing - including: attending substance use treatment services, health services, and other local services that contribute to their move-on into further treatment and/ or independent living.
•To effectively carry out a range of administrative and practical task including ensuring security of the building, collecting and recording money, monitoring and record keeping.
•To contribute to a high level of teamwork within the service, organisation and with other professionals who may be involved in an individual's care.
•Maintain a standard of service as required by the Commissioners and Equinox in order to deliver a safe and effective service and an A grade Quality Assurance Framework score.

Applicants must
•Hold an NVQ / Diploma level 3 in Health & Social Care / Mental Health / Housing or professional equivalent
•Have relevant experience of working with individuals who have; diagnosed or undiagnosed mental health conditions, learning disabilities, homeless or those at risk of homelessness, offending behaviour
•Be committed to establishing partnerships with other professionals to achieved good outcome for the client group
•Be able to demonstrate clear evidence and experience of successful reintegration of service users into the community
