The use of data is becoming more and more important to our clients. To meet this growing demand, we are significantly investing in our practice to offer a wide range of data-related services, from data governance and data quality, through to strategy development, visualisation and advanced modelling and analytics.

We are currently looking for an experienced data practitioner to join our fast growing Data & Analytics in Assurance (DAA) team. We have ambitious plans and are looking for individuals who can develop and build our go-to-market propositions and excel in client delivery.

It is essential that we are equipped to help our clients face these challenges and take advantage of the opportunities that new techniques and technologies present.

Our DAA team work with clients to deliver crucial insight through data analytics, advanced modelling and data visualisation. We also help our clients to establish the right controls, processes and structures to ensure that decisions are based on accurate information. We often assure that information and data provided to regulators and third parties is accurate, complete and can be trusted.

We are currently looking for Senior Managers to join our fast growing Data & Analytics team in London - Top Tier (LTT). LTT work with London-based FTSE100 and similar non-financial services and large public sector clients. We have ambitious plans and are looking for individuals who can support our go-to-market propositions and excel in client delivery. You will gain exposure to working on and leading engagements for a wide variety of clients with opportunities for excellent career development and international travel as well as the chance to actively coach our junior team through their careers.
The LTT Data & Analytics team works with clients across three key areas:

  • Data management, including data governance and designing and implementing responses to regulations eg General Data Protection Regulation;

  • Analytics and reporting, including visualisation of data to help organisations manage business risk establish the right controls, processes and structures to ensure that information can be trusted and improve decision-making;

  • Advanced analytics, where we use data science techniques to help our clients navigate future risks and opportunities through predictive and prescriptive analytics.

  • What makes us different is our ability to combine data & analytics assurance with our vast industry knowledge from working with major blue-chip organisations, at the most senior levels, to offer truly innovative services and solutions to our clients.

    We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic individuals to join our DAA team. People with the right blend of hands-on data experience, an eye for innovation to help us build client offerings and an understanding of the markets in which we work.

    As a Senior Manager you will be responsible for supporting the development of and taking our market-facing propositions to our clients and managing the engagements arising from our client conversations. You will also work with partners and directors across LTT and also nationally.
    Responsibilities

  • Developing and owning client and internal relationships, including bringing existing relationships across to PwC;

  • Selling Data & Analytics Assurance services to clients through continually looking at areas to enhance value to their organisation;

  • Leading and assisting business development activities through working on bids and proposal responses;

  • Be an active member of the team on client-facing project work, being self-starting and motivated to produce the required high standard of deliverables including ensuring the appropriate risk management procedures are undertaken;

  • Owning and delivering client engagements

  • Establishing credibility both internally and externally through your knowledge, approach, and professionalism.

  • Coaching the team to help them develop and progress.

  • Requirements
    Essential SkillsDemonstrable ability in at least some of the following areas:

  • Strong market credentials in data & analytics working with FTSE 200 or similar organisations and an ability to demonstrate knowledge and insight in data management, management information and analytics;

  • Proven experience in one or more of the following markets with an understanding of the key industry challenges they face: Telecoms, Utilities, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceuticals, Retail & Consumer, Entertainment & Media;

  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, including communication with senior stakeholders of a non-data background (being able to communicate technical issues in simple business terms) and excellent reporting writing skills;

  • Ability to identify and address client needs, including developing and sustaining meaningful client relationships and understand the client's business;

  • The ability to build and manage your own portfolio of opportunities, engagements and relationships;

  • Demonstrable experience of identifying opportunities and moving them through the process to client engagement;

  • Solid experience in managing projects, including developing project plans, budgets and deliverables schedules;

  • Experience of managing people both in terms of managing delivery teams and providing coaching to individuals;

  • Experience of the full engagement delivery lifecycle including risk and stakeholder management;

  • Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities

  • Desirable Skills
  • Experience in data architecture and/or modelling;

  • Basic finance process knowledge (Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay etc) and how ERPs manage and structure the data;

  • Use of technology in data & analytics including for use in providing managed services

  • Technical SkillsKnowledge and experience of at least two of the following:

  • Technologies that underpin the data management and analytics in large organisations. This may include technology supporting data lakes, "Big Data" analytics and data quality management;

  • Enterprise performance management (EPM) solution design and implementation;

  • The vision/roadmap of these tools and the wider challenges for data analytics.

  • Development of data standards and taxonomies;

  • Use of visualisation technologies such as Qlikview, Tableau, Spotfire and Power BI.

  • Database and ETL technologies;

  • SQL (preferably SQL Server) and data manipulation
