They have a vacancy for a Laboratory Assistant to work in their Chemicaland Analytical Technology department.Working in a busy laboratory environment the successful applicant willbe required to support the CAT team by preparing and photographingsamples prior to analysis, placing orders with suppliers for routineconsumables and occasionally assisting with simple routine chemicaltesting. The role involves working methodically and using a high levelof attention to detail when preparing, filing and storing samples andjob folders.Candidates must have GCSE or equivalents in English, Maths and at leastone science subject at Grade C or above.This role requires candidates to be able to work independently as wellas part of a team in a safe manner observing risk assessments andwearing appropriate protective clothing when required. The candidatemust also have a methodical and logical approach to work.Flexibility, tenacity and a 'can-do attitude' are key requisites of therole. Within the guidelines of the flexible working system, candidatesshould be able and willing to work their contracted hours between thehours of 7am and 7pm if required. - provided by Dice
