We are working with one of Glasgow's most respected establishments to help them find a Sous Chef of the highest quality to complement their existing high calibre team. The team in this restaurant are at the top of their game, which means you'll need to be too.

About the Job

Your main objective as Sous Chef with our client will be to work as a key member of the kitchen operation to produce the best possible food creations using your first class food knowledge and culinary expertise. You will be encouraged to direct and participate in menu planning based on fresh, local Scottish produce which will vary with the four seasons. You will also deputise in the Head Chef's absence, therefore, we will expect you to have great team leading skills which inspire those around you.

Ideal Candidate

We're not looking for a 'shouter', to be successful in this environment your success will come from your ability to encourage and motivate those around you in a positive way. This establishment doesn't need to shout too loudly because they let the food do the talking. To succeed in this role as Sous Chef, you will most likely have demonstrable experience of operating within a high quality rosette restaurant or 5 star hotel environment. You will most likely have formal training in the culinary arts, though, this is not essential, especially if you can demonstrate your skills and expertise in the kitchen.

Apart from the prestige of working as a Sous Chef with one of the most respected names in the hospitality industry, you will be rewarded with a highly competitive salary of circa GBP25k depending on experience.
