More information can be found on We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person who is able to lead the on-going design and development of social care case management systems and responds to the expectations of social workers by having a system that is aligned to good practice needs, enabling succinct, good quality and efficient recording and reducing unnecessary bureaucracy. The role works in collaboration with the Essex Social Care Academy and has responsibility for managing a team of advisers and trainers. The role is the key Subject Matter Expert and the conduit between Children and Families internal partners and external suppliers in providing vital information and analysis with the purpose of improving the system. Ensure the proper assessment, management and mitigation of risk, including Health and Safety and Business Continuity. ?? Drive development of policies, procedures and processes that successfully link systems and practice across Essex and ensure these are available to and understood by operational and support services. ?? Act as business lead on new developments to ensure that system changes are driven by, and meet, practice need and commissioned outcomes. ?? Maintain a close and strong link with front-line operational practice, involving practitioners in consultation and decision making around practice and system changes and ensuring that training delivery remains aligned to service needs and priorities. ?? Work with internal and external operational partners/stakeholders to maximise development of innovative approaches to the delivery of specified outcomes. ?? Make arrangements to ensure that ECC functions are discharged having regard to the need to safeguard and promote the welfare of vulnerable people/children and families. ?? Work to and ensure compliance with regulations and statutory guidance and ensure that any issues raised are addressed in a timely and effective manner. Lead on communicating and embedding key changes in national legislation or inspection mechanisms across Children and Families and liaise with other local authorities to mutually share best practice/innovations. ?? Specific individual and shared targets and objectives are defined annually within the performance management framework. ?? Educated to degree level or other relevant subject area, or equivalent by experience. ?? Evidence of successfully delivering outcomes in a social care environment. ?? Strong IT skills and ability to analyse and identify problems quickly, use own judgement and problem solving. ?? Relevant post-graduate qualification or equivalent by experience. ?? Evidence of continuing professional and managerial development and expert knowledge in relevant professional area . ?? Significant experience of managing change in a complex service delivery environment. ?? High standard of communication with ability to clearly express aims, objectives and outcomes. ?? Experience of working at a senior level in a political environment, skills in understanding and responding to different perspectives and taking a cross organisational perspective.
