Senior Contracts Manager for leading Utility Contractor to lead their Water Division
A leading Utilities contractor is currently recruiting for a Senior Contracts Manager to join a leading Utility contractor to manage the Water division focused mainly on Thames Water & Affinity Water contracts
The role will be to manage the delivery of the programme of work within the South East geographical area, ensuring that all works are performed in accordance with safety, technical, legislative, policies and procedures whilst ensuring that the programme of works adheres to agreed timelines, cost schedule, quality, risk profile and customer satisfaction.
You'll:
- Responsible for ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with the relevant legislation (e.g. NRSWA).
- Responsible for the delivery of targets of projects.
- Responsible for monitoring performance to ensure that all objectives are met and problems are anticipated and resolved.
- To work with the client, external suppliers, the Health and Safety Executive and other statutory organisations
- To develop and implement a robust stakeholder strategy and tactical deployment plans to ensure the programme of work is delivered and scheduled in a timely and cost effective manner
Desirable:
- Educated to degree level in an engineering discipline (preferably a chartered engineer)
- Knowledge of engineering policy, procedure and legislation
- People, financial, change management and commercial acumen
- Effective communication skills including the ability to make persuasive presentations to small and large audiences
- Track record of developing working relationships quickly and effectively Management of a team within a larger team with team working at all levels to ensure delivery of projects.
- Project management skills including management of risk for delivery of projects to time, cost, quality, safety and security of supply.
- Knowledge of the relevant safety rules, policies and procedures
- Experience in contract management within fixed price and target cost contracts.
