JOB TITLE: General Manager

SALARY & BENEFITS: Depending on skills and experience, 31 days holiday per year, company pension and company car supplied
WORKING HOURS: 38.25 per week, 7.45am - 4.45pm, Monday - Thursday. 7.45am - 12pm on Friday

THE COMPANY: Our client is a family owned and run business that has been trading for over 100 years, who supply tableware, cutlery and giftware within the UK and abroad They have an exciting opportunity available for a General Manager to join their team in Sheffield.

Key Responsibilities/duties of a General Manager to include:-
• All aspects of the day to day operations carried out at our production facility
• Stock control
• Handling and resolving customer complaints
• Dealing with customer queries and assisting the sales office with product information
• Organising maintenance of plant and equipment
• Provide technical support to all areas of the organisation
• Carry out health and safety risk assessments

THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate for the General Manager will be a good communicator and strong team player. You will be able to effectively multi-task and manage your workload. You will need to live within a commutable distance to Sheffield.

Key experience essential for the role of General Manager:-
• Comfortable working with computer-based systems
• A metallurgy background and good technical knowledge is required
• Production experience is essential
• Supervisor experience is preferrable
• Quality control background is desirable (within the metal or tool industry)
