The Community Centre and Asset Manager will play a key role in ensuring the management and smooth running of Cwmaman Community Centre. The Manager will work to ensure that the Centre is a vibrant, well-managed facility that operates for the benefit of local residents and organisations. 

An important aspect of the job is to develop the Centre, exploit the facilities available and identify new opportunities by means of effective marketing, networking and innovative solutions. The manager will work closely with the Town Clerk, the Activities Coordinator, the Community Development Officer and other staff and liaise with local statutory, voluntary and commercial sector organisations. The Manager is directly responsible for the Caretakers/Workmen.

The Manager will help to facilitate the future sustainability of the community centre and coordinate the management of other properties which are owned by the Council including the Community Workshop, Glanaman Signal Box, the Youth Resource Centre and the Bowl’s Pavilion. This will involve assisting with generating new uses of the buildings and a programme of improvements as required. The manager will assist in the management of facilities as obtained by the Council through asset transfer from the County Council including play areas, sporting facilities and a multi-use games area.
