You'll be part of a team looking at trending coverage during the periods when our audience is as its peak - which sometimes means evening and on weekends.

Role Responsibility
- Maximising opportunities for audience engagement and interactionAssisting with long-term planning and produce content ahead of major eventsWriting about multiple topics and stories where audience determinesUsing Buzzsumo, Trends and other audience tools to produce content with clear trending opportunitiesAssisting with long-term planning and produce content ahead of major eventPitching your own ideas in line with the site's brandTaking a creative approach to covering national and trending storiesSupporting the team with editorial responsibilitiesTaking direction from the Editor-in-Chief, Executive Editor and the content team over article creation and scheduling
The Ideal Candidate
You will demonstrate an excellent understanding of SEO techniques and use these to identify digital audience and content trends to drive audience numbers. Experience writing for a digital audience would be preferable, along with an up-to-date knowledge of media law.
