There’s a space in SIDAS - Somerset Integrated Domestic Abuse Service… are you the right person to join us? 

We are looking for an individual to work within the SIDAS Team who will be based at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton to support the work of clinical staff, providing discreet and specialist advice and support to victims of domestic abuse. You will also travel occasionally to other Somerset Partnership Sites. You will receive regular case management sessions to support your resilience to remain working in what can be at times, a traumatic experience.

You’ll work with health staff and train them to be able to support and empower their patients, so you will have a good understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on individuals.  You will be able to work autonomously and liaise with patients and various health teams in a calm and informative way.  

SIDAS works with perpetrators as well as the victims of domestic abuse and we are looking to recruit someone who has an unbiased approach and is able to give appropriate advice and support. 

The Hospital areas you will work in will include A & E and maternity and you will need to be able to maintain composure under pressure and ensure that appropriate strategies are adopted to ensure personal resilience and a professional client-led service is delivered.
