Manufacturing Engineer (Intern)

They are now looking for a Manufacturing Engineer (Intern) who has the drive and ambition to work for a market leading Global Engineering company. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to develop your technical skill set and gain experience in manufacturing processes and systems! You will be working in an environment that actively promotes innovation and continuous improvement practices and will work closely with diverse, forward thinking and skilled manufacturing and lean Six Sigma teams.
You will be responsible for working with and supporting the Manufacturing team in the design and development of documentation recording manufacturing and assembling processes of product lines. You will improve technical work processes and practices, and be involved in the development and implementation of new or pilot products.
This role would suit an individual who is currently working towards a Manufacturing or Technical Engineering qualification and who has the ability to read and understand all engineering drawings and associated literature. Solution focused, you will have good analytical skills and an understanding of lean tools and techniques and their implementation to improve performance. With a continuous improvement mindset, you will demonstrate effective team working skills and cross boundary collaboration, and have a proven ability to work on own initiative. Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office programs is a must. Those who have experience with CAD programs will be advantageous, however this is not essential.
