Lead Nurse

Ty Coch Nursing Home, Llanishen, Cardiff

From £31,659.11 - £34,422.60 per annum (depending on the T&C package chosen by the successful applicant)

Are you passionate about delivering the highest standards of clinical care?

Do you have strong leadership skills and looking for your next career move?

Then we may have the role for you! We have an exciting opportunity within our Ty Coch Nursing Home in Llanishen, Cardiff.

This sounds great, tell me more…!

Ty Coch is a part of Linc Care and operates in the not-for-profit sector. Situated in the peaceful, leafy suburb of Llanishen in the north of Cardiff, Ty Coch has been providing nursing for more than 20 years. The modern, purpose-built home has 63 ensuite bedrooms, two well-furnished lounges, a dining room and a dedicated entertainment lounge all of which provide a place to come together to socialise, participate in group activities, or entertain visitors.

Working alongside a well trained staff team of Care Assistants and Nurses, our Lead nurses lead by example on a daily basis to support approximately 15 elders by day within an assigned ‘community’. Our elders have a range of complex care needs allowing you to enhance your clinical experience. Taking responsibility and acting as ‘named nurse’ gives our nurses the opportunity to build effective professional relationships, and ensure that the care we deliver always meets the changing circumstances and personal wishes of each individual.

You will also act as the Senior Nurse on duty co-ordinating emergencies whilst also advising and guiding the Nursing team in the absence of the Nursing Home Manager and Deputy Manager.

Our Lead nurses are critical in providing leadership and guidance to nurses and care staff within the team, ensuring the effective delivery of consistent and excellent standards of care.  Within the Lead Nurse role you will mentor, motivate and engage with our nursing team and care staff to ensure that best practice in nursing care is embedded in everything that we do.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate strong clinical and care planning skills, with a clear commitment to building an elder-centred community. You will need to be a strong communicator in your daily interaction with colleagues, management, elders, visitors and third parties.

Did you know…?

  • Linc offer a flexible benefit system for our Lead Nurses where you can pick from two benefit packages to suit your needs. Would you prefer an enhanced hourly rate or enhanced annual leave? You decide!

If you would like to arrange an informal visit to the home, please do not hesitate to contact us!
