Our client is one of the largest further and higher education colleges in the country, offering over 1000 courses to over 26,000 students every year.

They now have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Carpentry and Joinery to join them on a full-time basis, 35 hours per week.

Within the role, you will work primarily with Level 3 students providing a high level of support needed to achieve their programme of study. Contributing to the development, planning and implementation of a high-level curriculum, the role involves developing learning materials, preparing schemes of work and maintaining records to monitor student progress. The post holder will need to be innovative in their teaching methods.

The position requires flexibility, enthusiasm and most importantly a commitment to the student journey. The ability to inspire learners is essential as well as the ability to work as part of a well-established team of professionals.

The successful candidate will hold a Subject specialism to degree standard in the appropriate subject coupled with a Certificate of Education or PGCE (or willingness to work towards). GCSE or equivalent in English is also required.
