We are recruiting for Night Porters to join our friendly and customer-focused team, who provide an exceptional front of house experience for our students, staff, Fellows, visitors and conference guests.

Hours of Work: 36 hours per week
Salary: Competitive
Location: Cambridge

The Role 
In this multi-faceted role, you will also be responsible for the security of College buildings and the safety of College members, visitors and guests.

The Ideal Candidates 
We expect our Porters to go the extra mile when welcoming our visitors and guests, dealing efficiently with their enquiries, while being ready to respond calmly to fire alarms, accidents and other emergencies.

You’ll be an ambassador for the College at all times, not only in the Porters’ Lodge, but as you walk around, conducting regular security patrols of the College, completing fire safety checks, locking/unlocking College buildings and delivering/collecting mail on daily post runs to College departments.

You’ll be able to follow established procedures, but also to ‘think outside the box’ to provide solutions, in a calm and helpful manner.
