Technical Sales Engineer

Our client based in South Leicestershire, have engaged Paul Mitchell Associates on an exclusive basis to recruit an experienced Technical Sales Engineer to join their team on a Full Time Permanent basis.

The ideal Technical Sales Engineer will have a strong technical background, having previously worked in the Machine Tool Industry or similar.

Duties & Responsibilities:

*Attend customer meetings to discuss options with clients
*Establishing new, and maintaining existing, relationships with customers
*Developing new geographical markets through on-line research
*Managing and interpreting customer requirements
*Ensure quotations for clients are prepared in a competitive manner
*Capable of negotiating contracts, terms and conditions
*Ensure sales enquiries are managed and responded to quickly and effectively
*Making technical presentations on how a product will meet client needs
*Meeting regular sales targets
*Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts
*Regular contact with customer throughout all project stages
*Provide after sales follow-up

ESSENTIAL

*Essential to have sales experience in capital equipment
*Must have a Technical background
*Excellent communication skills
*UK, European and worldwide travel is essential to this role, therefore candidates must be happy and willing to travel
*Individual should have ability to identify new opportunities and add value to customer needs
