Production Operator - Mechanical
Our Client a leading Subcontract Manufacturer currently requires 2 Mechanical Production Operatives to join their site in Hitchin. The Production Operative duties will include, materials handling - moving boxes & pallets full of completed goods to be shipped, using electric screw drivers to screw assemblies together to set torque settings.
The role will also include potting (dispensing viscous material into something similar to a small bowl) using a mixing machine. Keeping this operating and clean. Putting potted product in and out of drying ovens.
(The potting material hardens and protects the electronics it surrounds from water and damage).
The process is multi staged so being organised and meticulous is critical.
The items we are making are intelligent road studs which are fitted into new roads, they direct traffic in different directions as used on aircraft runways.
If you can have mechanical skills and have operated processes that would be a good start with some mechanical handling skills.
The role will be recruited for on a temp to perm basis with the view to going permanent after 6 months.
