Job Title: Transport Manager

Salary: £37,704 - £40,558 

Our client is currently seeking to recruit an experienced and suitably qualified Transport Manager for the Council’s Direct Services Organisation (DSO).

The post is based at Dunbrik Depot in Sundridge and is responsible for the Council’s day to day transport provision and the operational management of our in-house vehicle workshop and MOT test station. The post-holder responsibilities encompass all aspects of Operator Licence compliance and Health & Safety management including risk assessment and monitoring.

You will need good IT skills, be well organised, a good communicator and be customer focused. You will have an understanding of DSO finance and the ability to meet budgets and deadlines. You should be able and willing to work outside of normal hours as necessary.

You will be a CPC holder for Freight Transport operations, have MOT test station management experience and ideally have a relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety. Experience in managing the commercial fleet of a DSO or similar organisation is required. Ideally you will hold a vocational LGV Drivers Licence and have Winter Maintenance operations and vibration monitoring experience.
