The Royal School for the Blind, Liverpool offers educational placements for children with visual impairments and moderate to severe learning disabilities.  Placements at the school are for both day and residential children.

RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT WORKER - WITH EARLY YEARS QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE

Dates:  To commence ASAP

Salary: NJC SCP 9 - 13 (£14975 - £16191 pro-rata)

Location:  Church Road North, Wavertree, Liverpool L15 6TQ

Contract type: Full Time, 44 hours per week. Split shifts.

Contract term:   Permanent, Term time only

We are seeking to appoint an early year’s practitioner/nursery nurse NVQ level 3 or equivalent. This position would be suitable for a person with previous experience working with young children 2- 8 years although there are also other children of various ages in the provision who have shared care.

Our children and young people have complex needs, are MDVI, have emotional and behavioral difficulties. You should have a caring, warm nature, be outgoing, non-judgmental and have the ability to work independently or as part of our outstanding team. The role may include a requirement to sleep in (accommodation & additional allowance provided).
