Permanent, 37.5 hours per week

Why our Supported Housing team is great…

The Pathway Resettlement team work with adults who have varied support needs. The service supports individuals who are exiting supported housing pathways in Bristol, in the main, into their own tenancy, though some may be moving in with friends or family or other tenures.  The targeted resettlement support will help people to achieve their goals and aspirations and sustain and maintain their new tenancies. The support is aimed at helping people find their advantages in life while they move on to living independently, with the skills and understanding of how to do that and maintain their resilience. We are friendly yet professional team of people with a range of support experience. We are very proud of our work and helping people is at the heart of everything we do.

How we work

This position is field based. We have several touchdown points across the Bristol/South Gloucestershire locality. Our head office is in Weston-Super-Mare.  There are 7 staff members within the team, who are supported and supervised by a Team Manager Staff are expected to assist with assessments, one to one support and cover the Triage service where required. We also have access to Peer Mentors who work alongside support staff.

We are looking for a support worker who has a positive attitude, is adaptable to change, has excellent communication skills for a variety of stakeholders with resilience and a ‘can do’ approach to their work. Experience in a similar role would be desirable, however what is most important is having a passion for helping people in the local community to maintain their accommodation. This role will be demanding at times as you will be working in varied locations across the city. You will be supporting clients some of whom may have a range of challenging issues and behaviours. Using your initiative, good communications and problem solving will be a key in this role.
