Deputy Charge Nurse – RMN/RMHN/RNLD
We are currently looking for an experienced Registered RMN, RMHN or RNLD Nurse to work for an independent Mental Health Home in Reading, Berkshire.
The purpose-built home specialises in providing care and treatment for young adults living with mental health conditions and challenging behaviour.
As a Deputy Charge Nurse, your role will be (but isn’t limited) to:
Shift/resource/ward budget/strategic resource management
Leadership decisions within the context of a Charge Nurse
Personnel, competency and conduct management of junior staff
Manage complaints and grievances
Ensure adherence to policies and procedures
Serious incident reviews and implementation of recommendations
Provide an advisory role to the nursing staff
Support the implementation of local Clinical Governance Strategy
Clear application of clinical experience
Satisfactorily completing of objectives as agreed at appraisal, core competencies and monthly supervision
Facilitate the delivery of practice and support supervision
Monitor the performance and conduct of staff and take corrective action where required
For this role you will need the following:
Qualification as a Registered RMN/RMHN/RNLD Nurse
Current registration with NMC
Experience within a forensic setting within a leadership/management position
Relevant experience within a similar environment
Evidence and values based practice
To be considered for this role you must be a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse or Registered Nurse of Learning Disabilities with experience within a senior position.
