BS Social Care is currently recruiting for a candidate to work within a brand new 1 bedded emergency children and young people's home within a residential setting aged up to 18yrs old within the Wellingborough area of Northamptonshire. This is a permanent and full time role paying £18,637 - £20,197 as a minimum (there is opportunity for more hours and sleep ins).

About the employer; the employer is a well known and highly respected company who provides all kinds of care for children and young people who have been removed from their parents for a different number of reasons. They provide comprehensive care packages for Looked After young children where they work in partnership with a number of Local Authorities. Their considerable and highly regarded experience of children`s services offers local authorities, social workers and youth offending teams a safe and immediate solution when seeking to accommodate children and young people whose personal circumstances or behaviour may make them difficult to place.

The care provided is based on the principles of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). They have comprehensive experience of working with young people presenting with a range of behaviours including EBD, Autism, Asperger`s, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, Anger Management and other complex needs.

About the job; you will work as a Children and Young Peoples Support Worker within their brand new 1 bedded children`s home which can be an emergency placement or a respite placement. The company ensures that every single child you care for receives every aspect of support needed to allow them to develop, adjust and grow how every child deserves to. The care for the children and young people is taking incredibly seriously and passion, dedication and hard work is just the basics of what will be expected when taking on this role.

About the ideal candidate; this is a fantastic opportunity for candidates who currently work within the health and social care sector and now want to work with children and young people however they have never been given the chance to. We require for this role is a candidate with experience of working within the health and social care sector and driving licence. We also require this candidate to be passionate about the work they are about to take on, to be child focused and ensure that they go above and beyond to make sure the child in placement receives everything they need to be safe, welcomed and well looked after. We look for hard working candidates who are ready to take on a challenging yet rewarding and fast paced role.

The hours of work will on average 40 hours per week. The shift patterns will be 7 - 10 and/or 10 - 7. Shifts will vary between a long day and a sleep in or just the day/night shift. You will work a min of 1 sleep per week but no more than 3 per week depending on the need of the home. A basic pay rate of £18,637 will be paid along a £30 sleep in rate. Therefore, a basic salary of 40 hours including a min of 1 sleep per week will equal £20,197. You will then top up from there with extra day and night shifts when needed/wanted.

This is a full time and permanent role.
