Production Technician- Electronics
Our specialist and established client is seeking to recruit an electronics Production Technician to join their team in Haywards Heath.
The Role:
Working as part of the Production Team in the manufacture of various in-house designed electromechanical products, this new role will carry out electronic build and test functions on a day to day basis, whilst also providing support to the Chief Technical Officer in the design and testing of new products.
Main Duties:
Inspection:
Visual, automated and functional testing of electrical components and critical parts at goods in.
Final Build:
Electronic product assembly and test - assembly of electronics into mechanical housing requiring setup, cabling and calibration.
Testing:
Testing and fault finding of electronic products at various production stages - Sub-assemblies are fully tested using semi-automated processes.
Development:
Support the Chief Technical Officer with verifying new electronic designs from external design partners.
At various stages through the design process conduct intensive testing to ensure the required specification of the development project is met. This may involve visits to external suppliers and test houses.
Quality:
Perform internal test programs of new and existing products.
Person Specification:
Qualifications: An electronics qualification
Experience: Soldering, Assembly, Inspection
Knowledge and Skills: Fault finding capabilities to component level. Ability to read and interpret circuit and wiring diagrams.
Personal Qualities: Fast Learner, Ability to work alone or within a team, attention to detail.
Motivation and Expectations: Self-motivated, Pro-active Thinking,
