*** SEBD Teaching Assistant position at a friendly Basildon school
*** Long Term, Full-Time role starting in September 2018
*** Inclusive Mainstream Primary School with committed staff team
*** Earn between GBP60 - GBP75 per day, paid weekly - Negotiable dependent on experience
*** Graduate with at least a second-class degree required - A relevant subject such as Psychology, Education Studies or Special Educational Needs would be advantageous
*** Previous experience working with young people required, ideally some experience of SEBD/SEN
** School Graded 'Good' by Ofsted with excellent training and support offered by the experienced SENCo
To be successful in your application for this SEBD Teaching Assistant you must be a confident and resilient graduate who can adapt to different situations and circumstances quickly. You will possess a naturally authoritative, responsible manner and determination to be successful, these traits will make it easy for you to gain respect and foster effective relationships with pupils who display challenging behaviour. This role is ideally suited to a Psychology, SEN or Education Graduate who has experience supporting within schools previously.
This SEBD Teaching Assistant position involves working across the school supporting various pupils offering each of them comprehensive academic support and working with them to modify their behaviour. To assist effectively you must have a positive and nurturing personality, providing positive reinforcement to the pupils in your care so that they understand when they have been particularly successful in class.
