Case Officer

This is an excellent opportunity for a case officer looking to work in the Public Sector. We are looking for candidates who have an excellent eye for detail and like to solve complex cases using their judgement and initiative. You would need to have good verbal and written communication skills and you will be making final decisions on case work.

You'll also get to develop good working relationships with other stakeholders and attend meetings, undertaking general administrative tasks. This work involves some data input setting up cases on our complaints handling system. It also involves telephoning and writing to those people or organisations who contact us or who have had complaints made about them. Case officers have to use their judgement to weigh up all the evidence on a case and decide whether there has been a breach of the data protection law. If there has then they will advise the organisation what to do to put things right or in serious cases

The successful candidate will need to provide us with 3 years of references - have basic knowledge of MS office and be able to work well and accurately under pressure. You will ideally need to have letter writing skills

This is a Full time role; you will be working Monday to Friday, 37 hours a week.

This role will be ideal for people living in the areas of Cheadle - Cheadle Hulme - Stockport - Gatley - Wythenshawe - Levenshulme and Handforth
