The Role:

Main Responsibilities:

* To actively promote the company throughout the electrical construction and maintenance industry to improve the company's position in the market place as well as to generate profitable growth.
* Define long term goals, builds key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiates and close business deals.
* Identify new business opportunities that fit within the strategic development of the business.
* Build relationships with customers with a view to negotiate work rather than tender enquires.
* Strategic planning
* Obtain a thorough knowledge of the market as well as to understand fully the company's full range of skills and experience.
* Identify potential clients and the decision makers within that business through research or industry knowledge.
* A good understanding of the Company's full range of offerings including technical capabilities as well as previous experience within the industry.
* Regular updates of the sales enquiries and potential contract awards
* Provide a customer data base document to capture all sales leads and business development activity.
* Attend industry functions or conferences in support of the business target markets or customer driven opportunities.
* To work alongside the commercial team when identifying business opportunities
* To review the existing customer base to explore whether there are additional opportunities within the broader group of customer organisation or related businesses.
* Provide written reports for monthly sales and acceptances across the business
* Review and contribute to the update of the existing business plan and target markets
* Provide case history studies to promote the demonstrable experience of the company.

The Person Specification:

Attitudes & Qualities:

* A good sales background is essential as well as excellent communication and presentation skills
* To be highly motivated and self-driven to achieve challenging targets
* To be well organised to manage time and priorities effectively to achieve deadlines.
* Good IT skills including report writing.
* Be able to demonstrate impeccable ethical and moral behaviour, coupled with unquestionable integrity and character.

Essentials Required:

Qualifications / Skills & Experience

* A proven track record within a sales role
* Be able to show productivity of increased sales generated within sales role
* Full driving licence
